February 2025 - Coffee of the Month: Ease Out the Sail El Salvador (Natural)
Sail into February with Ease Out the Sail El Salvador (Natural), our limited-edition Coffee of the Month. Named after the gentle adjustment of a sailboat’s sail for a smoother ride, this medium roast offers a similarly balanced and smooth flavor profile. Sourced from the Quezaltepeque region in El Salvador’s La Libertad Department, this exceptional coffee hails from the sixth generation of the Belismelis-Alvarez family at Finca La Esperanza.
Grown at elevations of 1,000–1,450 MASL in nutrient-rich volcanic loam soil, this coffee features varieties like Bourbon and Catimor hybrids. A natural process preserves its vibrant characteristics, yielding cupping notes of cherry juice, raspberry, and chocolate—a perfect harmony of sweetness and body.
The family operates out of the San Miguel mill, meticulously processing and sun-drying each day’s cherry pickings. Their dedication to relationships, land stewardship, and quality ensures every cup is not only delicious but meaningful.
Ease out your own sails this February and enjoy a coffee that celebrates craftsmanship, tradition, and the art of smooth sailing—available for a limited time only.
