What is the San Diego Service Jam?
The San Diego Service Jam is an immersive, 48-hour service design experience that brings together people of all backgrounds to solve real-world challenges through design thinking. This annual event is part of the Global Service Jam, where 100+ cities worldwide host similar workshops focused on designing and prototyping impactful community solutions.
“Jammers” include designers, artists, business professionals, students, parents, and community members — all gathering with a shared goal: to create, prototype, and publish a new service concept in less than two days. The Jam features practitioner “flash talks” by design leaders, hands-on coaching from experienced mentors, and an atmosphere of creativity, collaboration, and learning.
