The family manages 15 separate estates spanning almost 900 hectares, continuing a coffee-growing tradition that began with Don Emilio Belismelis in the late 19th century. With its fertile volcanic loam soil and elevations ranging from 1,000 to 1,450 MASL, the region provides the perfect conditions for cultivating exceptional coffee varieties like Bourbon and Catimor hybrids.
A Natural Process That Preserves Vibrancy
The coffee is meticulously natural processed, with daily cherry pickings transported to the San Miguel mill in Ahuachapán. Here, the cherries are sun-dried on patios, with each lot carefully cupped at the Antigua lab to ensure only the best quality. This attention to detail results in a coffee that boasts a bright cup with a nice body and a sweet berry profile.
